I left off on how he messed up his Google Adwords account

Here is what happened when I dropped the bid on that $1.25& j9 P/ Q" f* a( j; d9 c
lead campaign from $1.00 down to about $0.25.6 h+ A$ \$ l: a4 r4 ]

rewarded this campaign because we had developed a good CTR9 A* G1 P) H4 A% z2 v& J

o/ l1 f4 }! D5 e0 SFrom this experience, I reminded him to develop his ad4 o& ^& A: N/ X
writing skills to keep a good CTR ratio for all his ads on

He is not a big Google fan because of all their% u; b/ \6 ]2 A( D, x' @
rules and restrictions, but he really likes MSN and spent a) Q/ C7 [: u$ z8 i/ _4 P; c8 S0 `* t
lot of time on this PPC search engine setting up campaigns.

He only ever did learn Google Adwords and MSN Adcenter. He
# |- B# ?# J* l2 ?, Gcould have built a lot more traffic if he had experimented% ? O2 N r' i% r
with the list of other *profitable* pay per click search
- d! S5 }- d* W: i4 k: Y h. Gengines I had given him.
% k9 L: ]' ]9 p* z! d. ` ~5 Z; G5 d" z
He started making some good money, but things could have8 w! C1 T" |0 I9 x9 u( H
been better if not for the following:

1. Never use a broke college student who hasn』t made more; i; i3 Y7 _; x6 S
than $2,000 in an entire summer as a test subject. As soon
6 ^: e3 T0 y2 D+ k) Yas Waseem started making $100 in affiliate commissions a7 Q9 b* h+ k% H
day, he got lazy and stopped doing much.
; G1 H$ D& i4 N p6 L6 U, v: s$ ?4 t# A; e+ Q
2. World Cup: Waseem is a soccer fanatic and was *easily*/ J2 Q* H$ J$ Z8 [3 f
distracted by the World Cup. So distracted that he told me

that he would have built enough traffic to pull off a

Waseem got lazy and gave up to soon. It still makes me mad

In fact, it was ironic that when he went back to university, U0 g/ l7 l; R' k% c! H
in September, he virtually did nothing and his affiliate
; O2 l3 k; G2 e" l5 n$ Z& Ocommissions jumped to almost $4,000 in both September and
7 P# t. t3 X# R6 Q: A' r1 {( GOctober.

If he had just spent a few hours optimizing his campaigns
" ]( [' q0 I% G9 Ousing the *system* I showed him, he could have easily netted
( S( p4 @: m3 k2 q- M50% of these gross revenues as profit.( d& t$ P1 u( M$ x; |2 M6 H6 p

He still isn』t doing anything with his campaigns, but is2 r6 U. I$ V$ C5 M6 N
still netting an average of $1,000 in profit a month on

school and start ramping my campaigns up.」3 ]1 E7 d0 D4 V
