and how I was trying to fix it.

0 ] ~8 N2 o8 q p% H }+ ]Here is what happened when I dropped the bid on that $1.25/ s8 T4 K- f: z, r% l) e
lead campaign from $1.00 down to about $0.25.

From this experience, I reminded him to develop his ad4 J( Z1 W. }* s- `0 `8 m
writing skills to keep a good CTR ratio for all his ads on

* E! h. F+ C9 C0 y: U* ilot of time on this PPC search engine setting up campaigns.

He only ever did learn Google Adwords and MSN Adcenter. He
" M* [2 ?& N P2 l: N2 O8 Bcould have built a lot more traffic if he had experimented2 N0 Z* U) v+ d% I' {9 c
with the list of other *profitable* pay per click search! Y' v- p( Y& i5 b' m
engines I had given him.! h9 d( {8 W% A( @/ z5 B
% h+ s4 c& d6 Q, Z4 NHe started making some good money, but things could have* t. O# |( O8 S. q
been better if not for the following:

1. Never use a broke college student who hasn』t made more
& ]+ t l$ R' G& t! W8 Ythan $2,000 in an entire summer as a test subject. As soon8 g3 I P; |/ N% G" h6 V; L( {3 S
as Waseem started making $100 in affiliate commissions a( |% e8 W9 v1 d) `
day, he got lazy and stopped doing much.2 v9 d( U8 \* @$ M
9 N0 }0 G1 F. R( q1 [6 i' o2. World Cup: Waseem is a soccer fanatic and was *easily*; a* }% v S! ? ]; f
distracted by the World Cup. So distracted that he told me! C4 b6 d! M6 x" Q! L/ q

3. He enrolled himself in a full-time course over the summer, \$ U2 R2 f7 D# q

' U, W- n; }7 f. ^& M, qOver the three and a half months he spent at my home, he only r& h* t4 N. Y% H0 ` M# Q
got around to driving traffic to 4-5 offers. I had hoped# z5 o& g/ V$ ]2 ? |% [
that he would have built enough traffic to pull off a! o( r! _1 @; y8 x
$10,000/month.

Waseem got lazy and gave up to soon. It still makes me mad

In fact, it was ironic that when he went back to university

commissions jumped to almost $4,000 in both September and
: Z1 _; r) T! v/ h7 j6 k; ?% `& UOctober.0 K( Y0 G* ?( M1 w% V9 Z8 r. h

If he had just spent a few hours optimizing his campaigns
" r5 U( q6 q9 l! `4 Susing the *system* I showed him, he could have easily netted
- o3 K9 I6 h* ~3 a50% of these gross revenues as profit.
; r3 H5 b# {" q/ ~( ~! ^2 {4 }: ^- u' [4 C: G
He still isn』t doing anything with his campaigns, but is# P$ J4 D9 Q3 o7 A1 _
still netting an average of $1,000 in profit a month on
' @# U' ]( l" e3 F C7 Gcomplete auto-pilot.

I only taught him about 30% of what I knew.
