Can I Teach This PPC-CPA Stuff? Part 2

Okay, here is the continuation of the story on how I got my
brother-in-law involved with driving traffic from pay per
click search engines to CPA lead offers.

/ I6 \3 ?9 K( y9 mI left off on how he messed up his Google Adwords account
6 d% s( D' e3 G) `and how I was trying to fix it.

Here is what happened when I dropped the bid on that $1.25
lead campaign from $1.00 down to about $0.25.

Google accepted the new bid.

Now Waseem can actually make money on this offer. Google
4 C' z4 H" q3 M. Y& Orewarded this campaign because we had developed a good CTR
6 D2 [: [1 _6 A$ M. s) E5 non the ads.

$ d- k) d9 L5 Q5 zFrom this experience, I reminded him to develop his ad
writing skills to keep a good CTR ratio for all his ads on
4 t& d: [& L* w7 H6 S- L/ Z7 oGoogle.

He is not a big Google fan because of all their
rules and restrictions, but he really likes MSN and spent a
lot of time on this PPC search engine setting up campaigns.
# J2 i4 H8 @+ Y) J$ W/ n  W
' W3 D7 D* X$ r+ h. NHe only ever did learn Google Adwords and MSN Adcenter. He
% k" ?+ a# e1 H6 t4 dcould have built a lot more traffic if he had experimented
with the list of other *profitable* pay per click search
8 H" n( B: I$ J5 ^2 Q; h# X7 cengines I had given him.
" r5 U1 S, e- V- f& A$ k; G
He started making some good money, but things could have
# {; Z1 [3 g5 _# ]/ F1 f) hbeen better if not for the following:

1. Never use a broke college student who hasn』t made more
9 Y% q7 r$ w+ Hthan $2,000 in an entire summer as a test subject. As soon
as Waseem started making $100 in affiliate commissions a
2 g  X4 P7 M8 L+ a: a+ rday, he got lazy and stopped doing much.
& t. R0 X0 [8 m7 i$ D
. I$ n9 o% r2 M! o. n$ H+ u2. World Cup: Waseem is a soccer fanatic and was *easily*
distracted by the World Cup. So distracted that he told me
! L  v" G" d# xit was a *need* for him to watch almost all the matches.

- B2 s) ~9 Z! `, g  Q3. He enrolled himself in a full-time course over the summer
and had assignments and tests to complete. Okay, I will let
this one go.

Over the three and a half months he spent at my home, he only
" r/ n0 G9 D/ Qgot around to driving traffic to 4-5 offers. I had hoped
5 T% ^( N# x+ X) @, Ithat he would have built enough traffic to pull off a
$10,000/month.

Here are the result of Waseem』s stats since mid-May by

For some people, they may say that the above profit is not
# R) V9 a: x3 L# R& v; ea lot of money. But for others, that is enough to cover
a mortgage and car payment.

For Waseem, this was a windfall.

7 A1 v8 n" @  K4 F9 SWaseem got lazy and gave up to soon. It still makes me mad
when I think about the potential.
/ \$ O7 e) b( x  x! Y# s. {, ?: Q8 L
In fact, it was ironic that when he went back to university
1 c! L- @' e. K- J6 y1 g1 W% Fin September, he virtually did nothing and his affiliate
9 f; o" d# y4 M* t# Scommissions jumped to almost $4,000 in both September and
October.

9 d. _: E* P3 T2 Q, k/ @If he had just spent a few hours optimizing his campaigns
9 r8 ^# K+ t: W! Y8 S" w! V. Wusing the *system* I showed him, he could have easily netted
, {+ a: v# ]4 |' ~50% of these gross revenues as profit.

9 t$ v5 K* ]' ~  N. N. V6 WHe still isn』t doing anything with his campaigns, but is
% k, V; ]% y, x% O8 n+ @still netting an average of $1,000 in profit a month on
complete auto-pilot.

" Y9 |6 @9 d- B0 {7 Y9 l4 PI actually just recently saw him after he came up to help me
set up my recent two day seminar in Toronto.

: M$ t9 q1 ?; Z9 l* kYou should have seen the look on his face *after* my two day
" E9 X9 C( J$ T9 Y% s. l# t. ]& v1 h  sseminar, when I spilled the beans on *everything* I do to
select group of 25 participants.

I only taught him about 30% of what I knew.

He came up to me and kept repeating 「Man, I gotta finish
& S0 v& @6 ^- {  [: |( T2 bschool and start ramping my campaigns up.」

Don』t worry bud, only one more semester left.
